Some of our projects...
This page highlights some of our ongoing and/or past projects. We are proud of all we have accomplished and look forward to many more projects where we can make a difference!
The South Valley Sanctuary
The South Valley Sanctuary provides refuge, education, advocacy, and support to victims of domestic violence and their dependent children. Our relationship with this organization is ongoing. In the past year we provided Thanksgiving Dinner and made sure each child had a Christmas present. We look forward to our next project in which we will help with some much needed remodeling of the home.
The Navajo Nation
The Navajo Nation is another one of our ongoing projects. We have helped with donation drives throughout the past year including providing for a single mother and children who lost their home to a fire. Currently, we are working on "grandmother baskets" which will be delivered in April. In the same trip we look forward to meeting with some Navajo leaders to better identify where we might be able to fulfill more specific needs.
The Road Home Shelter
We were pleased with the success of our clothing drive for The Road Home, a homeless shelter for men, women and children. We collected over 1,750 items for the shelter including clothing, blankets, and toys.
The Festival of Trees
In December we prepared, decorated, and donated a tree for The Festival of Trees. Our tree was
entitled "Navajo Weavings" and represented our commitment to the Navajo Nation. It sold for $1250 that went to help
Primary Children's Medical Center. The money is used to help pay for medical care for children who might
otherwise be unable to afford it. Special thanks to the Mike Hardman, manager of the Draper Kmart, for the donation of the tree.
